Course Description
Pre-Algebra Prep is a self-paced course designed for students to use as a review in preparation for material covered in Pre-Algebra. Topics covered include: operations with fractions, decimals, and percents (and converting between them), order of operations, signed numbers, exponents, evaluating expressions, solving equations, and basic geometry (angles, area, volume, transformations).
The material covered in this prep course aligns with the curriculum used in the Aim Academy Middle School Math course which precedes the Aim Academy Pre-Algebra course.
Course Structure
The course is self-paced so students may progress quickly through any material they have already mastered and spend additional time on concepts that need more review. Delta Math lessons include short videos and practice problems for each concept. A minimum number of problems is required, but students will be able to access additional practice problems as needed.
Who should enroll?
This mini-course is designed primarily for students in grades 7-8, especially students entering Pre-Algebra.
Students in this course should have completed middle school math, or a 6th-7th grade mathematics course.
