This class is an introduction to the French language for students who are considering which language to study for high school. If you’re wondering if French is the language you want to study but you don’t want to commit to a full year course until you’re certain, this is your opportunity to ‘test the waters’. In seven classes, I will introduce you to my favorite language. We’ll start by discovering that you know more French than you think you do! I’ll help de-mystify the pronunciation and we’ll lay a foundation of ABC’s and 123’s. You’ll come away with being able to ask and answer basic questions about yourself and others. I also close out the course by giving you a ‘book’ that you can read in French!
In addition to the one hour face to face class time, students can anticipate 2 hours of homework per week given in 5 weekly assignments.
