This full-year course is designed to familiarize students with basic Spanish vocabulary and grammar in a variety of familiar settings and situations. Each week will have a different topic (at home, around town, at the beach, etc.), and will use pictures, stories, songs, games, and videos to help students learn and practice.
Students may also register for each semester of this course separately. For more information and to register, see Elementary Spanish 1 for the first semester course and Elementary Spanish 2 for the second semester course.
Classes will generally follow a similar format that will include reviewing vocabulary, watching a video and/or reading a story related to the week’s topic, playing games, singing songs, etc. Students will typically be given a task to do during the week, which they may be asked to share with the class the next week.
Who Should Enroll?
This class is designed for elementary age students, with or without previous experience in Spanish. Parents should consult the teacher prior to enrolling a student younger than 4th grade.
- High-speed internet, computer, and webcam are required for participating in weekly live class.
