Amy Wallace

Writing well and understanding grammar and punctuation are a struggle for many homeschool families. As a published novelist and passionate English teacher, I’m excited to share what I’ve learned from my writing and teaching journey to inspire students and help them grow in their skills and understanding of composition, grammar, punctuation, poetry, and literature analysis.

My novels include the Place of Refuge series: Hiding in Plain SightNowhere to Run, the Defenders of Hope Series: Ransomed Dreams, Healing Promises, and Enduring Justice, and she is a contributing author of A Novel Idea: Best Advice on Writing Inspirational Fiction, God Answers Moms’ Prayers, and Chicken Soup for the Soul Healthy Living Series: Diabetes.

My heart is to not only teach and inspire but also to make learning fun. I believe what students enjoy learning, they remember. It is my prayer that my English classes will be enjoyable, interactive, supportive places to learn and grow.

I love every aspect of teaching English: vocabulary, poetry, composition, literature, and grammar. I believe what students enjoy learning, they remember, so my classes are engaging and fun places to learn how to use words well and wisely.

English Literature and Composition focuses on developing well-rounded and deep thinking high school students. This course will engage students in improving grammar, vocabulary, composition, poetics, and literary analysis skills.
