Joanna Breault is offering Middle School Tools for English Excellence (grades 6th-8th) again second semester. The 15 week course runs Jan 10-Apr 20. The course has been very well received by current class members, and you will find Joanna gives quality feedback. She also delights in working with the age group. Strong language skills are crucial to success in high school and beyond, and middle school is the time to hone them. Starting with the basics of sharpening word choices and progressing to the construction of well-crafted essays, this course is 15 weeks of focused instruction and personalized feedback. Middle School Tools for English Excellence focuses on creating confident, skillful writers – and also includes some reading comprehension and literary analysis. Conducted via website and email, the class is tailored to each student’s skill level, and feedback from the instructor, a professional writer, is both encouraging and practical.

I would like to know what books do I have to purchase? What does the course consist of? You have a brief description of what a child will do, but there is nothing about books. How much more do I need to purchase? Is there anyway I can get more information? I do not like to be left in the dark.
